I listened to a librivox recording of this book and I found it an easy, interesting tale to follow. Trounce was a sapper in the trenches and has a lot of hair raising tales to tell.

I think if you already knew who these wrestlers were and watched it in the 70's it may have given some interesting additional information. As someone who was not alive at the time and was hoping to learn about this period of wrestling, there wasnt much in this, its just a bunch of transcripts of brief conversations.
